Eric P. Hassey · Who you work with
One senior engineer.
The same one, every time.
Eric Hassey is a Boston-based fractional CTO for healthtech and regulated startups — founder of IN2Labs.
You will not be introduced to a principal and handed to someone else — there is no one else. Based in Boston, working with clients nationwide.
What an engagement covers
Capability areas, not departments — this is a one-person practice.
Engineering
Full-stack development across mobile, web, AI, and cloud.
AI & Machine Learning
LLM integration, evaluation, and models that hold up on real data.
Product & Interface
Product thinking and interface design for technical products.
DevOps & Cloud
Infrastructure, CI/CD, security, and monitoring.
The stack
Founder
Eric P. Hassey
Founder · Fractional CTO & Software Engineer
Eric has spent 15+ years building software in domains where the cost of getting it wrong is high — government systems, and consumer applications at scale. Machine learning runs through nearly all of it, starting with a Master of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Iowa, where he specialized in machine learning for biomedical research at the Carver College of Medicine. That includes R&D at MIT beginning in 2014 — from the Offshore Precipitation Capability to a named Best Paper Award for applying convolutional neural networks to radar imagery — and later service as principal investigator on an NSF SBIR Phase I award at Preventa Medical Corporation.
The through-line is regulated and technically demanding software: systems where correctness, auditability, and security are requirements rather than aspirations. That background is why IN2Labs takes on HIPAA-compliant health platforms and AI products that have to survive contact with real users, and why the architecture conversation happens before the build rather than after.
He founded IN2Labs in 2025 on a deliberately narrow premise: one senior engineer, working directly with clients, with no account managers and no offshore hand-offs. Clients own everything that gets built.
